International ILK Workshop „Sustainability“ on Feb. 23rd 2005

The ILK had invited a circle of guests from science and industry to this workshop that focused on the current state of assessing the sustainability of energy generating systems. The basis for the workshop was given by the „ILK Statement on Sustainability Evaluation of Nuclear Energy and other Electricity Supply Technologies,“ published in January 2004 (see our „Statements“ page, ILK publication No. 16).
The aim of the workshop consisted in reflecting on the basic principles and methods outlined in the ILK statement against the current state-of-the-art in science and to identify possible aspects that might improve the approach taken by the ILK.
The workshop consisted of three parts with brief presentations and ensuing discussions on the topics „General approach“, „Set of indicators“ and „Aggregation“.
Below are the individual presentations for downloading (as pdf-files, mostly in German).
