49th ILK meeting
The 49th ILK meeting was held on July, 2nd, 2008, in Kloster Eberbach.
In January 2008 the ILK published a report “Fundamental Safety Requirements for Nuclear Power Plants”, asking for comments from stakeholder. Several comments from Germany and abroad were received and evaluated by contract of the ILK. Mr. Schaefer (ISaR, Germany) presented the results of this evaluation. Subsequently, the further steps to be taken for the deliberation of this topic were agreed upon.
Mr. Schubert (Vattenfall, Germany) gave a presentation on the topic “Potential Applications of Probabilistic Safety Assessments in Practice”. The ILK will follow up this presentation in its deliberation of the topic “Risk-Informed Decision Making” at the next ILK meeting.
Following a proposal by ILK member Prof. Hacker, the ILK will again take up deliberations of the topic “Safety Culture” at the next ILK meetings.
The next ILK meeting is scheduled for October 20th/21st, 2008.
